The Fastest Computer



The fastest computer in the world today is found in Japan called the "k" computer. This computer was built by Fujitsu and is said to have 8 quadrillion calculations per second (petaflop/s). In this article, the author mentions that the K computer is three times faster than the next fastest computer! The features of the K Computer is that it is made out of 672 computer racks, 68,544 CPUS, and scientists would are willing to add more gadgets to help the computer become faster and more powerful. The K Computer is expected to be used in 2012 by Japanese scientists and engineers to study important issues such as natural disasters, climate changes, and even medicine research.
